The Abs Diet Really works! I have read the book and used it successfully in the past. New Years Resolution calls for the Abs Diet Plan back into my life . I will recap from my readings to refresh my memory and share what is inside the book.
The Top Ten Most Important things you need to know about the Abs Diet.
1. Every Meal Must have at least two of the 12 power foods at each meal.
Almonds and other nuts
Beans
Spinach and other green veggies
Dairy (fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese)
Instant oatmeal (unsweetened, unflavored)
Eggs
Turkey and other lean meats
Peanut Butter (less than one tb spoon per day)
Olive oil
Whole-grain breads and cereals
Extra-protein (whey) powder
Raspberries and other berries
2. Make sure the foods you eat have less than 50% fat calories and at least 30% fiber.
3. Stay away from excessive alcohol consumption. I remember the abs diet book recommending to drink 3 or less drinks per week for maximum effects. (If you have to drink make it up with cardio)
4. Eat six times a day so your body never goes into starvation mode and so you will not be tempted to cheat.
5. You can Eat anything you want one day a week. (every time you think about cheating remember to wait for the seventh day)
6. Stay hydrated. (remember to drink a small cup of juice after you workout)
7. Don't keep any junk food in the fridge. If you buy healthy you will eat healthy.
8. The first three days of healthy eating are the hardest. It gets much easier as you progress through the program.
9. Familiarize yourself with the Abs Diet recipes. Take the time to read and pick out the type of recipes that you will like. You must advertise these meals to your brain so it will accept them even when your hungry.
10. Find your daily recommended calorie intake and divide that number into 6. Even though you are to eat 6 meals a day that does not mean to increase you caloric intake. In the end it is still a numbers game.
